Coconut Rice

Description

Coconut Rice – a simple, easy tutorial that teaches you how to make coconut rice at home! A flavorful and delicious side dish!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup jasmati rice  
  • 3/4 cup full fat coconut milk
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 teaspoon coconut sugar 
  • pinch of salt 

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to small saucepan. 
  2. Stir to combine. 
  3. Bring to boil, uncovered, stir once.
  4. Cover and reduce heat and let simmer 15-25 minutes or until rice as absorbed nearly all the liquid. 
  5. Remove from heat and let stand 5-10 minutes. 
  6. Uncover and fluff with a fork.

Notes

  • Serving Suggestions: we love serving this with our Slow Cooker Jerk Chicken!
  • Coconut Milk: we recommend using the full fat coconut milk from a can here.
