Description

Our super easy, homemade Crock Pot Hot Chocolate recipe is perfect for enjoying with a crowd on those chilly winter days!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups whole milk
  • 16oz heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Combine: put the milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla, and salt in the crock pot. Whisk to fully combine.
  2. Chocolate Chips: add chocolate chips and mix again.
  3. Cook: warm the slow cooker to the low setting for 1 hour.
  4. Whisk Again: Give the whole pot another whisk before serving.
  5. Warm + Serve: Keep the crock pot on warm and serve, as needed.

Notes

  • Dairy Free Option: To make dairy free crock pot hot chocolate, simply use the following ingredients and follow the same instructions: 3 cans full fat coconut milk; 1.5 cup unsweetened almond milk; 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons cocoa powder; 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons coconut sugar; 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt; 1/3 cup dairy free chocolate chips
