Description

Our Homemade Buffalo Sauce recipe is delicious, easy, and perfectly spicy! Perfect for wings, meatballs and dips!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup ghee (sub with butter)
  • 1/2 cup Franks Red Hot
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • optional: 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (*see notes)

Instructions

  1. Add ghee to small saucepan and allow to melt on medium-low heat. Don’t allow it to get too hot.
  2. Remove from heat, add Frank’s Red Hot, and stir constantly until fully combined.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
  4. If sauce starts to separate, simply stir again to recombine.
  5. Sauce will thicken as it cools.

Notes

  • Spice: without adding cayenne pepper, this recipe is “mild/medium” buffalo sauce. Adjust the heat level by adding 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne and it would be “medium”.  Add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and it will be closer to a “hot” or spicy buffalo sauce.
  • Serving: we love using this with our Grilled Wings or Smoked Chicken Wings!
  • Storage: keep in an airtight container or airtight jar in the fridge for up to 5 days.
