Description

Iced Chai Tea Latte – a delicious and easy recipe for iced chai tea lattes you are going to love! Dairy-free friendly!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 chai tea bags
  • ice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almondmilk or 1 batch cold foam (pictured)

Instructions

  1. Add water to a small sauce pan.
  2. Bring water to medium heat (just short of a boil) and add maple syrup and vanilla extract. Stir to combine and let maple syrup dissolve.  Don’t let water get super hot, just hot enough to be able to steep the tea bags.
  3. Add tea bag and remove saucepan from heat.
  4. Let steep 5-10 minutes.
  5. At this point you can pour the tea into a glass and place it in the refrigerator to use the next day or later that day. Alternatively, you can just let the tea cool a little and then pour over ice to completely cool – do whatever you prefer.
  6. Add ice to a glass and pour chai mixture over top.
  7. Pour in unsweetened almondmilk and stir to combine.
  8. Alternatively, you can make a batch of cold foam or sweet cream cold foam to pour over top (cold foam pictured in post).
  9. Enjoy!
