Description

Our perfectly Crispy Parmesan Brussel Sprouts are a quick and easy side dish that are a great addition to any main course!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 lb. fresh brussel sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded (+ extra for sprinkling)
  • 2 tablespoons panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 415 degrees F. Use a cutting board and sharp knife to remove the ends of each brussel sprout, remove outer layers, and cut each one in half. Discard the ends and outer layers.
  2. Season: Place the trimmed and halved brussel sprouts in a large bowl. Add olive oil and salt to the bowl. Toss to coat and use hands to massage into the brussel sprouts. Add lemon zest and parmesan cheese; toss to coat again.
  3. Bake: Spread the brussel sprouts in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle extra parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs over the top. Move the entire pan to the preheated oven to bake for 15-18 minutes or your desired crispness.
  4. Serve: Enjoy immediately with your favorite main dish!

Notes

  • Dairy Free: simply omit the parmesan cheese or swap out for a dairy-free version.
  • Gluten Free: option to use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
