Description

An easy, delicious Sausage Sheet Pan Dinner recipe that your whole family will love! Simple, clean ingredients!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium delicata squash, halved and sliced (leave the skin on, it is edible)
  • 1 red onion, halved & sliced
  • 4 Italian sausages or chicken sausages (pre-cooked), halved
  • 12 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt (more, if desired)
  • 12 apples, sliced (we used honey crisp)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Pierce the sausages once or twice with a fork.
  2. Sausage + Veggies: Place squash, sausage and onion on a large sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and massage to coat. Sprinkle with a 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, middle rack.
  3. Add Apples: Remove baking sheet from oven and add sliced apples. Sprinkle apples with some ground cinnamon. Continue baking for an additional 10 minutes or until sausage is fully cooked and squash is firm, but tender. 
  4. Serve: Remove and let cool slightly. Serve immediately.
