Description

Our quick and easy Sautéed Cabbage recipe is the perfect side dish to enjoy with any main dish! Made in under 15 minutes!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 head of green cabbage, chopped into large pieces with core removed
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (more, if desired)
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a large cast iron skillet to a medium-high heat and melt butter. Add cabbage and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Move around the hot pan and sauté for 3-5 minutes or until it cooked to your liking. Cook less time for more crispness and longer for more softness.
  3. Serve immediately!

Notes

  • Dairy-Free: simply use a plant-based butter.
  • Extra Flavor: option to add some fresh garlic cloves, garlic powder, lemon juice, or a few red pepper flakes to the add even more flavor.
  • Storage: leftover sautéed cabbage can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for 4-5 days.
