Description

This quick and easy tutorial on how to make Smoked Sausage is perfect for enjoying on its own or adding to any of your favorite recipes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of precooked andouille sausage

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat smoker to 225 degrees F. and ensure the grill grates are clean.
  2. Smoke: Remove sausage from the packaging and place directly on the hot grates. Let smoke for 1.5-2 hours.
  3. Optional Sear: Once the sausage has finished smoking, feel free to give it a quick sear on a hot grill for about 1-2 minutes per side. This will give it some nice char marks on the outside.
  4. Serve: Enjoy immediately or use in any of your favorite recipes – we love it in our Sausage and Rice!

Notes

  • Smoker: We used our Traeger Pellet Grill for this smoked sausage recipe.
  • Cook Time: The listed cook time in the recipe card is the high end of the cook time range. It should take between 1.5 – 2 hours.
