This festive Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail recipe is a delicious beverage that is perfect for the Fall season!
Ingredients
Cinnamon Sugar Rim:
1tablespoonground cinnamon
1tablespoongranulated sugar
real maple syrup
Bourbon Cocktail:
1.5 - 3ozapple cider
1.5ozbourbonor brandy
1ozorange liqueurwe used Gran Marnier
3dashes of bitters
0.5 - 1ozreal maple syrup
optional garnish:star anise, apple slices, cinnamon stick
Instructions
Rim Glass: Put 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon and 1 tablespoon granulated sugar on a small plate and mix to combine. Grab a low ball cocktail glass and use your finger to spread a small amount of maple syrup around the rim. Flip the glass over and turn the rim in the cinnamon sugar mixture to create a cinnamon sugar rim around the top.
Cocktail Shaker: Add 1.5 - 3 oz apple cider, 1.5 oz bourbon, 1 oz orange liqueur, 3 dashes of bitters, and 0.5 - 1 oz real maple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Secure the lid on top and give it a good shake.
Pour + Taste: Add ice cubes to the rimmed glass and pour the cocktail over the top. Taste and adjust any flavors or sweetness as desired.
Serve: Enjoy this cozy cocktail with any of your favorite garnish ingredients!
Notes
Sweetness: highly recommend starting with 0.5oz of maple syrup, and then you can add more, if desired.
