Description

Our delicious Blackberry Mojito recipe is the perfect cocktail to sip on those hot summer days for a backyard happy hour!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 8 fresh blackberries, divided
  • 34 fresh mint leaves
  • ice cubes
  • 1oz white rum
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • tonic water
  • garnish: mint leaves, extra blackberries, lime wedge

Instructions

  1. Sugar Rim: Place the sugar on a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a short glass, flip the glass over, and turn the rim in the sugar.
  2. Muddle: Place 3 blackberries and 3-4 mint leaves in the bottom of the glass and muddle to break them apart. Add ice cubes to the glass and set aside.
  3. Blend: Put the remaining 5 blackberries, 1oz white rum, 1.5 tablespoons lime juice, and 1.5 tablespoons simple syrup in a small food processor or blender. Blend to combine and then pour in the glass over ice.
  4. Tonic Water + Garnish: Add a splash of tonic water and then garnish any way you want. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Simple Syrup: option to buy store-bought simple syrup or learn how to make simple syrup!
  • Larger Batch: feel free to double or triple this batch to make a few cocktails.
  • Mocktail: easily omit the rum, if you prefer a mocktail instead of a cocktail.
