Description

Our delicious Smoked Deviled Eggs recipe adds some smokey flavor to that classic deviled eggs recipe that we all know and love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 whole, fresh eggs
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/41/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 34 teaspoons pickle juice (recommend bread & butter pickle juice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • toppings: paprika, dill leaves, or fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat smoker to 325 degrees F.
  2. Smoke: Place eggs directly on the grill grates of the preheated smoker and let eggs smoke for 30-35 minutes. Transfer eggs to an ice bath (large bowl of ice and cold water) to cool for a few minutes, then peel the shell off each egg. Place peeled eggs on a small baking sheet and return to smoker at 190 degrees F for about 10 minutes. To drop the temperature of the smoker quickly, simply open the lid for a few minutes. Carefully remove the tray of eggs from the smoker.
  3. Egg Yolks: Now use a sharp knife to cut each egg in half, lengthwise. Use a small spoon to pop out the yolks and place them in a medium bowl. Set the egg whites aside.
  4. Combine: Add mayo, 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, pepper, dijon mustard, yellow mustard, pickle juice, and white vinegar to the mixing bowl with the egg yolks. Stir to combine, with the option of using an electric hand mixer to make the mixture really smooth. Give the mixture a taste and adjust salt, mayo, or pickle juice, as desired.
  5. Fill Eggs: Spoon the egg yolk mixture into the halved egg whites.
  6. Serve: Garnish deviled eggs with fresh chives or dill and paprika. Enjoy immediately!
