Description
Our easy Smoked Sweet Potatoes have a delicious smokey flavor, plus a homemade cinnamon sugar butter for serving!
Ingredients

Sweet Potatoes:
- 3 sweet potatoes, halved
- 1–2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- kosher salt and ground black pepper
Cinnamon Sugar Butter:
- 6–8 tablespoons butter, softened (regular or plant-based)
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- pinch of allspice
- pinch of kosher salt
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat the smoker to 225 degrees F.
- Season Potatoes: Place the sweet potatoes, cut-side down, on the sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Massage oil around the potatoes.
- Smoke Potatoes: Place the whole pan on the smoker and let smoke for about 1.5-2 hours or until their internal temperature reaches 205 degrees F (use a meat thermometer). Cook time will depend on the size of the potatoes.
- Butter Mixture: While the potatoes are on the smoker, combine the butter mixture in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Serve: Enjoy potatoes, cut-side up, with some cinnamon sugar butter on top!
Notes
- Dairy-Free: use a plant-based butter.
- Instant Pot: highly recommend using an electric smoker for that added flavor, but you could also make Instant Pot Sweet Potatoes.
