A true Wisconsin Brandy Old Fashioned recipe! Made with classic ingredients and served over ice this is the perfect special occasion drink!
Ingredients

1 ½ - 2
ounces
brandy
▢
¼ - ½
ounces
simple syrup
or one sugar cube
▢
3
dashes
bitters
▢
splash of Sprite
to taste
▢
ice cubes
▢
garnish: orange peel +
maraschino cherry
Instructions
In a lowball glass add
1 ½ - 2 ounces brandy
,
¼ - ½ ounces
simple syrup
,
3 dashes bitters
and
splash of Sprite
.
Add
ice cubes
and garnish with orange peel and additional cherry on a toothpick. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Maraschino Cherries
: I highly recommend using these
Luxardo Maraschino Cherries
- they are the best!
Simple Syrup vs. Sugar Cube
: feel free to add a sugar cube and muddle it in with the cherry instead of adding the simple syrup. Either way works.
Classic Old Fashioned:
if you want a more classic version of this recipe that is quite so sweet - use bourbon instead of brandy and omit the Sprite.
