Homemade Granola Recipe - a super simple recipe for making your own homemade granola! So easy to make and the whole family will love it!
Ingredients
3 ½cupsrolled oats
1cupsunflower seeds
½cupsesame seeds
⅓cupground flax
¼cupchia seeds
¼cupalmond flour
1tablespoonground cinnamon
1teaspoonkosher salt
1cupcoconut sugar
½cupwater
1tablespoonvanilla extract
½cuphoney
¼cupextra-virgin olive oilsub avocado oil
Instructions
Prep: Preheat oven to 350℉. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Dry Ingredients: Combine 3 ½ cups rolled oats, 1 cup sunflower seeds, ½ cup sesame seeds, ⅓ cup ground flax, ¼ cup chia seeds, ¼ cup almond flour, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon and 1 teaspoon kosher salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir well to combine.
Wet Ingredients: Combine 1 cup coconut sugar and ½ cup water in a small bowl and whisk to combine. Then add ½ cup honey and ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil. Mix well.
Combine: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredient and stir. Spread mixture evenly on two parchment-lined baking sheets.
Bake: Toast for approximately 20 minutes on the middle rack of the oven, mixing a couple times. Let cool for 10 minutes before breaking up into chunks.
Serve: Enjoy or store in an airtight container for later!
Notes
Serving: Serve with your favorite plant-based milk or yogurt and drizzle with honey.
Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. If you aren't going to use all of it within 2 weeks I would recommend freezing it! Store in the freezer for up to 3 months. To thaw leave on your countertop overnight.
Sugar Content: if you want to make it less sweet, simply reduce the honey by half.
Add-In Ideas: After you have baked your granola and let it cool you can break it into chunks and add: dried fruit, nuts, coconut flakes, dairy-free chocolate chips, etc.!
Gluten-Free: to make gluten-free just ensure you are using gluten-free certified oats!
