Ingredients
4cupscold water
1cuprolled oatsgluten-free, if desired
pinchkosher salt
Instructions
Combine: In a high-speed blender, add 4 cups cold water, 1 cup rolled oats, and a pinch kosher salt. Blend on high 20-30 seconds.
Strain: Take a large mason jar, place a sieve on top of it and add a cheesecloth in the sieve. Pour the oat milk mixture through the cheesecloth/sieve slowly. You will need to stop and use a spoon to move the oat residue around. Continue pouring as it strains through the cheesecloth. Eventually you will be able to squeeze out the last of the oat milk.
Store: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Separation is completely normal, simply shake before using.
Notes
Add-ins: feel free to add in a date or vanilla extract for added sweetness if you want.
