A delicious Chili Lime Steak Fajita Marinade made with 8 real, simple ingredients and perfect for your favorite steak fajita recipe!
Ingredients
¼cupolive oil
⅓cupfresh lime juiceapprox. 2 limes
zest of 2 limes
1tablespoongarlicminced
1tablespoonsoy saucesub tamari for gluten-free
½teaspoonchili powder
½teaspoonground cumin
¼teaspoonkosher salt
1-2tablespoonscilantrochopped (optional)
Instructions
Combine: In a small bowl, add ¼ cup olive oil, ⅓ cup fresh lime juice, zest of 2 limes, 1 tablespoon garlic, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, ½ teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon ground cumin, ¼ teaspoon kosher salt, and 1-2 tablespoons cilantro (if using). Whisk until well combined.
Marinate Steak: Pour the marinade over the steak of your choice in a reusable silicone bag or glass container. Seal and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or more.
Serve: Cook your steak however you want!
Notes
Spice it up: feel free to add a little crushed red pepper, if you want!
Marinate Time: due to all of the acidity in the marinade, this is a quick marinade and only requires 30 minutes. It is not recommended to use this marinade for more than 2 hours.
