Our super simple Strawberry Basil Simple Syrup is a perfect way to add that touch of sweetness and flavor to your favorite drinks!
Ingredients

fresh strawberries
stems removed & sliced

sugar
▢

cup
water
▢
1
large sprig of fresh basil
Instructions
Combine
: Put all of the ingredients in a small saucepan and give it a stir.
Simmer
: Bring the pot to a boil over medium-high heat and then drop the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
Strain
: Pour the simmered syrup through a fine-mesh strainer and into a jar or bowl. Discard the strawberries and basil.
Cool + Serve
: Let the strawberry simple syrup cool completely before using. We love using it to make a Kentucky Buck!
Notes
Basil
: feel free to omit, if you don't have any or don't want it.
Storage
: keep in an airtight container in the fridge for about 2-3 weeks. Or freeze for up to 6 months.
