Description

This simple step-by-step tutorial on How to Make Homemade Garlic Bread is made with 5 real ingredients. So simple and so good!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter, softened (sub plant-based)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 baguette (I used a 14oz loaf)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Butter Mixture: Put the butter, 1 1/4 teaspoons garlic powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt, and 1 teaspoon minced garlic in a small bowl. Mix to fully combine & set aside.
  3. Prep Bread: Cut baguette into thick (1 inch) slices, without cutting all the way through the bottom. Using a knife, spread the butter inside each slit in the baguette.
  4. Bake: Wrap baguette in aluminum foil and place in the preheated oven, middle rack. Bake for 15 minutes or until butter is nice and melted.
  5. Serve: Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • Storage: this is one of those recipes that really doesn’t store too well; best to serve immediately.
  • Gluten-Free: you can easily use a gluten-free baguette instead of a regular one.
