Our easy tutorial on How to Make Plantain Chips is a simple recipe that teaches you how to make your own plantain chips!


Ingredients

  • 1 plantain, (remove skin by cut plantain in half & peel the skin off, cut into thin slices)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place sliced plantains on a lightly sprayed baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  4. Check after 15 minutes and then continue cooking for 5 minute intervals until they have turned golden brown and have crisped up.
  5. Once they have reached your desired texture, place on cooling rack or plate to cool.
  6. You can let them dry out further by leaving them out, uncovered on the counter.
  7. Serve with homemade guacamole or garlic hummus.

Notes

  • Storage: keep leftover plantain chips in an airtight container in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
