Description

Festive, easy, and delicious Hot Dog Mummies that the whole family will love at your next Halloween celebration!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package hot dogs
  • 1 package store-bought crescent rolls
  • optional: candy eyes
  • serving suggestion: dipping sauces of your choice (ketchup, mustard, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with a non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Prep the Dough: Open and unroll the crescent dough. Find the seams and pinch together to create a flat piece of dough. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into ¼ inch strips.
  3. Wrap the Hot Dogs: Wrap 2-3 strips around each hot dog like a mummy. Continue until all the dough is used or you run out of hot dogs.
  4. Bake: Place wrapped hot dogs on a prepared baking sheet (make sure they aren’t touching) and bake on middle rack for 10-12 minutes. Remove and let cool slightly.
  5. Optional Eyes: Move to a plate and place two candy eyes on each (if you want).
  6. Serve: Enjoy with the dipping sauce of your choice!

Notes

  • Crescent Rolls: use whatever works best for you and if you want to make your own crescent roll dough, that is great! We love Annie’s Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough to make this recipe super easy and stress-free.
  • Candy Eyes: find these at most grocery stores in the baking aisle – we grabbed our at Target.
  • Air Fryer Mummy Hot Dogs: Place a piece of parchment paper in the air fryer basket and then set the wrapped hot dogs on top of that. Cook at 400 degrees F for 3-4 minutes per side, flipping halfway through.
