Description

A delicious and easy slow cooker applesauce recipe! (Dairy-Free, Paleo + Vegan) – no added sugar!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 peck of apples (5 or 6 pounds), peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 Teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • Pinch of salt
  • 12 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Add apples, water, nutmeg, salt and ground cloves to slow cooker.
  2. Turn to high and cook for 3 hours.
  3. Mix to combine.
  4. Feel free to use an immersion blender to really combine, otherwise just mix together with a spoon.

Notes

  • Store in refrigerator on airtight container up to a week.
  • Freeze in airtight container (leave an inch on top to allow for expansion) for up to 6 months.
  • Use an apple peeler to speed up the process!  I used this one for the KitchenAid or this one!
