Description

Slow Cooker Applesauce – A delicious and easy slow cooker applesauce recipe! No added sugar!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 peck of apples (5 or 6 pounds), peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 12 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Add apples, water, nutmeg, salt and ground cloves to slow cooker. Place the lid on top.
  2. Cook on the high setting for 3 hours.
  3. Mix with a spoon to combine.
  4. Feel free to use an immersion blender for a smoother texture, otherwise just mix together with a spoon.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in refrigerator in an airtight container up to a week.
  • Freezer: Freeze in freezer-safe container (leave an inch on top to allow for expansion) for up to 6 months.
  • Peeling Apples: Use an apple peeler to speed up the process!  I used this one from KitchenAid or this one!
