Baked Fish Nuggets - a super easy recipe for making homemade fish nuggets! They are kid-friendly and absolutely delicious!
Ingredients
1large egg
1tablespoonunsweetened almond milk
1cupalmond flour
1tablespoontapioca starch
½teaspoonOld Bay seasoning
pinchkosher salt and ground black pepper
16ouncescod fishcut into chunks (thawed & pat dry)
Instructions
Prep: Preheat oven to 425℉.
Breading Bowls: In a shallow bowl, whisk together 1 large egg and 1 tablespoon unsweetened almond milk to fully combine. In another shallow bowl, add 1 cup almond flour, 1 tablespoon tapioca starch, ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning and a pinch kosher salt and ground black pepper. Stir to combine.
Bread Fish: Place one piece of fish at a time in the egg wash to fully coat and then lift, allowing excess to fall off. Then place fish in the almond flour mixture, moving it around to fully coat.
Bake: Place prepared fish nuggets on a parchment-lined baking sheet and continue until all of the fish chunks are fully coated. Bake for 6 minutes. Remove and flip each piece over. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve: Remove and let them sit for 2 minutes to cool slightly. Serve immediately with your favorite tartar sauce (love this homemade tartar sauce).
Notes
Tartar Sauce: I highly recommend serving with your favorite tartar sauce! Or a paleo/Whole30 tartar sauce, if needed!
