Our easy and delicious Bourbon Maple Grilled Ham Steak is the perfect main dish for a simple weeknight dinner!
Ingredients
Bourbon Maple Ham Glaze:
2tablespoonsmaple syrup
2tablespoonsbrown sugar
1tablespoonbutterregular or plant-based
1-2teaspoonsbourbon
1/2teaspoondijon mustard
1/8teaspoonground cinnamon
1/8teaspoonground allspice
scant lemon zest
Ham Steak:
11.25 - 1.5 pounds ham steak (approx. 1/2 inch thick)
extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
Prep: Preheat the gas grill or charcoal grill to a high heat (450 degrees F) and clean the grill grates.
Make Glaze: Put all of the glaze ingredients in a small bowl and mix to fully combine.
Grill Ham Steak: Remove the ham steak from the packaging and brush both sides with a little bit of olive oil. Place ham steak directly on the clean, hot grill grates and sear for 2 minutes cooking time. Reduce to medium-high heat (375 degrees F). Flip ham and continue cooking for 1 minute. Brush some of the Glaze on the top side of the ham steak and continue cooking for 1 more minute. Carefully remove from the grill.
Serve: Option to brush a little more Glaze on the ham before serving. Cut and enjoy immediately with your favorite side dishes!
Notes
Bourbon: highly recommend adding for that depth of flavor, but you can omit it, if you prefer.
