½teaspoonground black pepper
¼teaspoonkosher salt
¼ - ½teaspooncayenne pepper*optional - see notes
Instructions
Warm Ghee: Add ½ cup ghee to small saucepan and allow to melt on medium-low heat. Don't allow it to get too hot.
Combine: Remove from heat, add ½ cup Franks Red Hot, 1 teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, ¼ teaspoon kosher salt, and ¼ - ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (if using) to the saucepan. Stir constantly until fully combined. If sauce starts to separate, simply stir again to recombine.
Serve: The sauce will thicken as it cools. Enjoy in your favorite recipe!
Notes
Spice: without adding cayenne pepper, this recipe is "mild/medium" buffalo sauce. Adjust the heat level by adding 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne and it would be "medium". Add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and it will be closer to a "hot" or spicy buffalo sauce.
