A simple and easy tutorial that teaches you how to make crostini easily at home! Perfect for all of your favorite appetizers!
Ingredients
12slicesfresh french baguette
1tablespoonextra virgin olive oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 475 degrees F.
Slice a french baguette into 1/2 inch pieces (I like to cut it at a slight angle).
Place on baking sheet in a single layer and brush each piece with olive oil.
Place in oven, middle rack, and let bake until they start to turn golden brown; approx. 4-8 minutes of cook time (keep an eye on them - everyone's oven is a bit different). Option to put them under the broiler for a minute, if you prefer them more brown in color.
Servings: of course you can use this for more or less than 12 slices - however you may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your baking pan.
Storage: store in an airtight container on the counter top for 3-5 days.
