Ingredients
Scale
Instant Pot Ham:
- 5–6 pound pre-cooked, bone-in ham
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup apple cider or apple juice
3 Ingredient Ham Glaze:
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
Instructions
- Prep Ham: Place ham on a plate and score with a paring knife.
- Prep Instant Pot: Add water and apple cider to the Instant Pot; place trivet inside.
- Cook Ham: Cover and seal Instant Pot. Cook on HIGH pressure for 12 minutes and then let naturally release for 10 minutes. Carefully release remaining pressure manually according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Glaze: Combine Glaze ingredients in a small bowl. Taste and add any flavors, as desired. Remove ham from Instant Pot and brush all over with glaze – option to place under broiler after you brush on glaze for a minute or two (watch carefully so it doesn’t burn) if you want the glaze to firm up and become tacky.
- Serve: Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- Apple Cider: do NOT use apple cider vinegar – this recipe calls for apple cider.
- Ham Gravy: feel free to use any leftover liquid to make some homemade ham gravy.
- Serving Suggestions: serve with easy green bean casserole, cheesy green been casserole, scalloped potatoes or a house salad.
- Storage: any leftover ham can be store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
