Description

An easy, delicious homemade Tzatziki Sauce recipe that is perfect for your favorite gyro or Greek-Inspired recipes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup English cucumberpeeled, remove seeds and diced
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 23 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 2 teaspoon fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Prep Cucumber: Prepare cucumber by peeling, removing seeds, and dicing. Put the cucumber pieces in some paper towel and squeeze out as much water as possible.
  2. Blend: Add the cucumbers and the rest of the ingredients to a food processor. Blend until it reaches a smooth consistency. Taste and adjust any seasoning, as-desired.
  3. Chill: Place in refrigerator so that the sauce can thicken, approx. 1 hour.
  4. Serve: Use in your favorite recipe – we love it on our Chicken Gyros!

Notes

  • Cucumber: we recommend using English cucumbers because they are a little less watery. Be sure to peel the cucumbers or the sauce will end up green in color.
  • Dairy-Free: checkout our dairy-free tzatziki sauce, if that is what you prefer!
