Healthy Caesar Dressing - a simple recipe for making delicious Caesar dressing at home - perfect for Caesar salads and wraps!
Ingredients
½cupmayonnaise
¼cupparmesan cheesefinely grated
1tablespoonlemon juice
½tablespoonred wine vinegar
3teaspoonsdijon mustard
2teaspoonsgarlicminced or grated
2teaspoonsanchovy paste
1teaspoonworcestershire sauce
½teaspoononion powder
½teaspoongarlic powder
¼teaspoonground black pepper
kosher saltto taste
Instructions
Combine: In a small bowl or wide mouth mason jar with lid, add ½ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, ½ tablespoon red wine vinegar, 3 teaspoons dijon mustard, 2 teaspoons garlic, 2 teaspoons anchovy paste, 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, and a little kosher salt. Whisk to combine in the bowl or put the cover on your mason jar and shake to combine OR place ingredients in a small food processor and blend until smooth.
Adjust: Taste and add any salt or other ingredients, as desired.
Mayo: use whatever brandy you prefer, otherwise we have an awesome paleo mayo recipe!
Dairy-Free: you can make this dairy-free by using a dairy-free version of grated parmesan cheese.
Storage: You can keep your Caesar dressing in the fridge for up to 7 days. It is not recommended to freeze the dressing because it does not thaw well.
Anchovy Substitute: If you don't want to use anchovy paste when making this recipe you could try to use fish sauce. It is a slightly different taste but could be used in a pinch if needed.
