Description
Grilled Brussel Sprouts (how to grill Brussel sprouts) – a simple, easy and delicious grilled brussel sprouts recipe that is the perfect summer side dish for any meal!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 – 2 pounds brussel sprouts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, more as needed
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt, more as desired
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat Grill: Bring grill up to medium-high heat. Place your grill basket on the grill to heat up*.
- Prep Brussel Sprouts: Prepare brussels sprouts by removing the outer layer, cutting off the stem and halving them. Place them in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil, add salt and pepper. Massage oil into the brussels sprouts to ensure they are fully coated.
- Grill Brussel Sprouts: Pour out brussel sprouts onto grill pan and let cook 8-12 minutes, tossing occasionally, or until they have reached your desired softness.
- Serve: Remove from grill and serve immediately with your favorite meal (we love serving these with some grilled steak and grilled potatoes!).
Notes
- *Grill Pan vs. Foil: You will definitely need to use a grill pan for the veggies – if you don’t have one use some heavy duty foil to create a homemade “basket” by folding up the sides a bit.
- Grill Time: we used smaller brussel sprouts during testing (which I prefer) and they were perfectly cooked after 8 minutes – for larger brussels sprouts it will take closer to that 10-12 minute range or longer if they are really big.
- Add-Ins: feel free to add in some garlic, lemon zest, shredded parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes!
