- Olive or avocado oil – this helps to give the skin a nice crisp texture after cooking.
- Ghee or butter – for that delicious buttery flavor that everyone loves on potatoes!
- Kosher salt & pepper – when making potatoes you always need some classic salt & pepper flavors!
- Heavy duty aluminum foil – make sure you get the heavy duty one so that it doesn’t rip apart on you.
How Do You Keep Potatoes From Sticking To Foil On The Grill?
We sprayed down our foil boat with a little avocado oil but feel free to use your favorite nonstick spray. Use a generous amount to minimize any sticking to the foil.
What Does Wrapping Potatoes In Foil Do?
The foil wrap around the potatoes creates a little pocket of heat to help steam the cubed potatoes quickly on the grill. We recommend giving them a shake or flipping it over halfway through cooking.
Do You Need to Boil Potatoes Before Grilling?
Nope! Grilling potatoes is so easy – no need to cook them at all before placing them in the aluminum foil boat and placing that on the grill. Let the grill do all the cooking work!
