Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and prepare a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Make Meatballs: Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly (using your hands is usually the easiest). Take a heaping tablespoon of the meatball mixture and use your hands to roll it into a meatball. Continue until all the meat is used (you should have around 20 meatballs).
- Bake: Place meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, approximately 1/2 – 1 inch apart. Sprinkle the tops lightly with salt and pepper. Bake for 24 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
- Serve: Enjoy any way you want – we love them on spaghetti noodles with marinara sauce!
Notes
- Almond flour: option to substitute with bread crumbs or panko crumbs.
- Baking sheet: you can also cook them in a mini muffin tin cups.
- Storage: leftover meatballs can be placed in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
- Freezing: remove from oven and let cool completely. Then, set cooled meatballs on clean baking sheet and place in the freezer for at least an hour. Then place frozen meatballs in a storage bag (the silicone Stasher Bags work well) and keep frozen up to 3 months.
