What You Will Need
- ground beef – we like to find a nice lean ground beef at our local grocery store or butcher shop. Option to sub with ground turkey, if you want.
- almond flour & egg – the binding ingredients in this recipe that hold everything together!
- onion powder, garlic powder, dried basil, kosher salt, & ground black pepper – a simple combination of seasonings that bring so much great flavor.
How To Make Oven Baked Meatballs
To start this easy baked meatball recipe, place all of the meatball ingredients in a large bowl.
Use a large wooden spoon or your hands to mix all of the ingredients together. Then remove about 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture at a time and roll into a ball. Place all of the raw meatballs in a single layer on a sheet pan with parchment paper.
Pro tip: for best results, we like to use a large cookie scoop or ice cream scoop for this process to keep the size of the meatballs uniform.
Bake the meatballs at 375 degrees F for about 24 minutes or until cooked through.

Do you suggest using less flour if I’m only using a pound of beef?
Erin says
Hi Savanah – sure you could reduce it to just a little below a 1/4 cup – but even if you still use a 1/4 cup you should be fine!
Juli says
Yum! I’m always struggling during Whole 30 for what yo sub for almond flour. My daughter is allergic to all tree nuts. Mama only makes one dinner per night. 🤣
Erin says
Hi Juli – I would try using cassava flour as an almond flour sub!
Zach says
Made these last night because I wanted something healthier for my spaghetti than all the other recipes I was seeing and I LOVED them!!! 10 out of 10 will be making again! I didn’t have onion or garlic powder and of course forgot it while I was at the store, but I just used fresh. Still worked! Crazy delicious!!!
Erin says
So glad you enjoyed these, Zach! Thanks for coming back to leave a review!
Collette says
These meatballs were so easy to make. I used a combination of beef and pork because it is what I had on hand. They turned out perfectly. I will make them again!

First day of W30. This is my second round so I definitely feel less apprehensive and more excited. New recipe for me and it is fantastic! Used Rao’s marinara for the sauce and made W30 mashed potatoes. This will be in regular rotation.
Erin says
So happy to hear that, Patty!! Cheering you on during round 2! You got this! 🙂
