Garlic Green Beans - a simple, quick and easy recipe for garlic green beans that is always the perfect side dish for any meal!
Ingredients
1tablespoongheeor butter or olive oil
1 ½tablespoonsgarlicminced
¾poundsfresh green beanstrimmed
½teaspoonkosher salt
1teaspoonlemon juice
Instructions
Sauté: Bring a large cast iron skillet to medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon ghee and allow it melt; swirl to coat the pan. Add 1 ½ tablespoons garlic and move around the pan constantly until it becomes fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Cook Beans: Add ¾ pounds fresh green beans and sprinkle with ½ teaspoon kosher salt. Move the green beans around the pan allowing them to saute, about 5-7 minutes or until they soft, but firm. Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice and toss.
Adjust: Taste and add additional salt, garlic or lemon juice - as desired.
