Disclaimer
The Wooden Skillet continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use for those of us with disabilities.
Despite my efforts to make all pages and content on thewoodenskillet.com fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.
Areas for improvement
I am aware of some areas on the website where I must improve accessibility. I am currently working to achieve this. I hope that this website will achieve “Level AA” conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 by March 2022 (this depends upon the availability of experts in the field, developers, etc.).
Star ratings: As of now, my recipe rating system can’t be accessed by keyboard. I have contacted the developer of the recipe plugin I’m using on thewoodenskillet.com and we are working on a solution. Please bear with us as we continue to improve the functionality.
Images: Many of my photos include alt-text describing accurately what the image is about, but not all. I am working as quickly as I can to fix this. If you have problems reading the photos or find any that are missing, please send me a message at erin@thewoodenskillet.com.
Audit: I have been in touch with an accessibility auditor and will be scheduling an audit of thewoodenskillet.com shortly to learn which further areas need to be improved to reach accessibility standards on this website.
