For years, we have been serving fresh salads (or green salads) at our holiday dinner table, but sometimes you just need to change things up. Enter this fresh apple salad recipe! The apple salad dressing that we use is mayo, because we are midwesterners. This great salad has similarities to a classic chicken salad, just minus the cooked chicken. Enjoy any way you want!

What You Will Need
- crisp apples – any variety of crunchy apples will work here, honey crisp apples, fuji apple, or any other favorite apple!
- chopped walnuts – love this added crunch in the mix, but toasted pecans, candied pecans, or even pumpkin seeds would also be great.
- raisins – pick-up some classic raisins, golden raisins, or even dried cranberries at your local grocery store to add just a slight touch of sweetness.
- mayonnaise – add as much or as little as you want for a little bit of creaminess that holds it all together.
How To Make Apple Salad
The first steps to making this easy recipe are to gather all of the basic ingredients.
Place all of the prepped ingredients in a large salad bowl and mix them all together.
Storage
Any leftover apple walnut salad can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days. Unfortunately, apple brown fairly quickly so it will still be good for a few days but just looks brown in color. Option to add a small splash of lemon juice to help slow the browning.
