Cranberry Cinnamon Apple Kombucha Mocktail – a healthy and delicious option for the holidays!

For those moments when you Just. Need. A. Drink. This Cranberry Cinnamon Apple Kombucha Mocktail is perfectly sweet and festive – and makes you feel like you are drinking something special during all of your holiday parties!
I admittedly haven’t done a Whole30 over the holidays or even attempted to stay somewhat Whole30 compliant during a holiday season (my first Whole30 was in May of this year) ….. but I have been to enough cookouts and get-together and gatherings to know it is hard to not drink when everyone else is! I mean, I suppose it has gotten easier over this past year because I honestly don’t desire to drink that much anymore (it really just makes me feel horrible). But there is still something about that feeling that you are holding a “special drink.” Like when I get home from work and am in the kitchen making dinner….. I love having a glass of wine. I rarely even drink the whole thing, but it is just the act of drinking out of a wine glass – it is totally comforting and kind of a tradition.
When I did my first Whole30, that was one of the little things I missed, so I started drinking my favorite kombucha out of a wine glass and honestly, it completely satisfied my tradition! Such a simple thing….
Parties are a little different, and I think it will be even worse around the holidays. ย I don’t know what it is about social drinking, but there is essentially an expectation that if you are at a party, you should be drinking. ย Even if people don’t say it out loud, I swear you can feel some judging going on if you decide not to. ย While my very best friends have always been cool with it (of course, they are my best friends), I have totally gotten some teasing from not-so-good friends who think it is weird not to drink. ย I say, do what is best for you and your body – who cares what they think. ย I am all for a good blackberry gin and tonic cocktail every once in a while, a Blue Moon in a bottle with an orange or a chilled glass of prosecco….. but if I am doing a Whole30 or simply not in the mood to drink or I just don’t want to…. I am not going to drink. ย Period. ย Rant over.
So the point of this mocktail is by no means meant to appease your not-so-close friends who pressure you to drink, but it is for YOU GUYS. Because it is fun to have a fun drink in your hands. And it tastes DELICIOUS! And it is Whole30 compliant! It is so festive and happy – I know I will be carrying one of these around my first holiday party!! Cheers you guys!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Cranberry Kombucha
- Splash of Club Soda
- 1 Tablespoon Apple Juice
- 1 Apple slice
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1 Sprig of Rosemary
- Cranberries for garnish
- ice
Instructions
- Add ice to glass.
- Pour kombucha, club soda and apple juice over ice.
- Add apple slice, cinnamon stick and rosemary sprig.
- Garnish with fresh cranberries.
