It is officially the holiday season and healthy appetizers are not always easy to find! This Prosciutto-Wrapped Melon with Basil recipe is Whole30 compliant and absolutely delicious! It is always nice to serve a mix of healthy and maybe not-so-healthy appetizers for people to choose from. This recipe is one of my absolute favorite go-to healthy appetizers that is ALWAYS a hit. So, so simple and delicious!

What You Will Need
- fresh cantaloupe – a wonderfully sweet fruit that is perfect with the saltiness of prosciutto.
- prosciutto slices – cut into slices that are big enough to wrap around the pieces of cantaloupe.
- basil leaves – a fresh herb that is full of the best flavor!
How To Make Prosciutto-Wrapped Melon
The first steps to making this easy recipe is to cut the cantaloupe into large chunks and the prosciutto large enough to wrap the cantaloupe. Place some basil on top and poke a toothpick the whole thing.

Our Prosciutto-Wrapped Melon with Basil is the easy and delicious holiday appetizer you are looking for this year!
Ingredients
- 1 ripe cantaloupe
- 2 packages of prosciutto
- approximately 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- toothpicks
Instructions
- Prep Cantaloupe: Remove the seeds and rind from the cantaloupe and cut into small squares.
- Prosciutto: Take a piece of prosciutto, cut it in half lengthwise, and across so it is in quarters. Exact size of each piece depends on the size of the cantaloupe chunks. Take a piece of cantaloupe and wrap it in prosciutto.
- Basil: Place a folded basil leaf on top and then push toothpick in to hold all together.
- Finish: Continue this process until you have used up all the ingredients.
Notes
- Prep Ahead of Time: this appetizer can easily be made the day before your event. Simply store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.
