- Tequila: for a margarita, we prefer a white tequila like Jose Cuervo or Patrón. Feel free to use your favorite tequila.

Description
This Pickle Margarita recipe is going to surprise you! So bright and delicious and perfect for a hot summer day!
Ingredients
- lime wedge
- kosher salt
- ice cubes
- 1.5oz tequila
- 1.5oz orange liqueur
- 1oz lime juice
- 1oz simple syrup
- 2–2.5oz pickle juice
- garnish: pickle spear + fresh dill
Instructions
- Salt Rim + Ice: Rub a lime wedge along the edge of a glass. Place some kosher salt on a small plate. Flip the glass upside down and rub the rim in the salt, so it sticks to the rim of the glass. Flip the glass back over and add ice.
- Shaker: Add 1.5oz tequila, 1.5oz orange liqueur, 1oz lime juice, 1oz simple syrup, and 2oz pickle juice to a cocktail shaker. Shake to combine and pour over ice. Taste and if you want a little more pickle flavor add another .5oz of pickle juice.
- Serve: Pour in the rimmed glass with ice and garnish with a pickle spear and some fresh dill.
Notes
- Pickle flavor: we tested this with 1.5oz, 2oz, and 2.5oz of pickle juice. We agreed 1.5oz just wasn’t enough of a pickle taste. We LOVED 2oz and some of us loved the 2.5oz of pickle juice. For the record we also tested 3oz of pickle juice and it was just … too much pickle 🙂
- Pickle Brand: For this recipe I would highly suggest using a brand such as Claussen pickles or our homemade pickles. Something light, bright, and fresh. I wouldn’t use the brands that are artificially colored with that yellow/green color! I just don’t think it would taste the same.
- Simple Syrup: option to learn how to make simple syrup at home or pick-up a store-bought version at your local grocery store.
