Option to serve this Fall cocktail with the cinnamon sugar rim or without, with a fun garnish or without. Enjoy it, any way you want! Plus, you can easily increase it to a double batch or triple batch of this perfect festive drink for your next special occasion.

What You Will Need
- ground cinnamon & sugar – a great way to add a hint of sweetness to the rim of your cocktail glass.
- real maple syrup – add more or less maple syrup for a touch of sweetness and reserve a little to rub on the rim to help the cinnamon sugar mix stick.
- fresh apple cider – love a real apple cider as the base of this delicious drink that can also be adjusted, according to your personal preference.
- bourbon – just pick-up your favorite kind of bourbon at your local grocery stores or liquor stores.
- orange liqueur – in the recipe card below, we used Gran Marnier in this delicious apple cider cocktail to compliment the sweetness of the cider.
- bitters – option to use traditional bitters or a flavored option, like orange bitters.
- optional garnish – fresh apples, orange slices, orange peel, lemon wedge or cinnamon.
How To Make An Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail
The first steps to making this easy recipe are to gather the fresh ingredients.
Put the cinnamon and sugar on a small plate, mix to combine. Rub a small amount of maple syrup on the rim of a rocks glass, turn the glass upside down, and turn in the sugar mixture. Now, add all of the cocktail ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
Secure the lid on top, give this mixed drink a good shake, and pour over a handful of ice in the rimmed cocktail glass.

Our fun and festive Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail recipe is a delicious beverage that is perfect for this Fall season!
Ingredients
Cinnamon Sugar Rim:
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- real maple syrup
Bourbon Cocktail:
- 1.5 – 3oz apple cider
- 1.5oz bourbon (or brandy)
- 1oz orange liqueur (we used Gran Marnier)
- 3 dashes of bitters
- 0.5 – 1oz real maple syrup
- garnish (optional): star anise, apple slices, cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Rim Glass: Put the cinnamon and sugar on a small plate and mix to combine. Grab a low ball cocktail glass and use your finger to spread a small amount of maple syrup around the rim. Flip the glass over and turn the rim in the cinnamon sugar mixture to create a cinnamon sugar rim around the top.
- Cocktail Shaker: Add the apple cider, bourbon, orange liqueur, bitters, and 0.5 oz of maple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Secure the lid on top and give it a good shake.
- Pour + Taste: Add ice cubes to the rimmed glass and pour the cocktail over the top. Taste and adjust any flavors or sweetness as desired.
- Serve: Enjoy this cozy cocktail with any of your favorite garnish ingredients!

- Sweetness: highly recommend starting with 0.5oz of maple syrup, and then you can add more, if desired.
