How To Make Parmesan Brussel Sprouts
Start by preheating your oven to 415 degrees F. and gather your ingredients. To prep the brussel sprouts, remove the ends and outer layers of each sprout and cut them each in half. Toss the ends and outer layers.
Next, place the olive oil and salt in a large mixing bowl and use your hands to massage it into the sprouts. This is an extra step, but an important one as this helps them stay moisturized during the roasting process. Then add in the lemon zest and parmesan cheese and toss so that everything is evenly distributed over the brussel sprouts.
Now transfer brussels to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and spread them out in an even layer. Add another cheese layer by sprinkling them with some extra parmesan cheese and the panko bread crumbs and place them in your hot oven and let them bake for 15-18 minutes. Cooking time with vary depending on how crispy you like your brussel sprouts. Our cue to remove them from the oven is when they start turning a nice golden brown color.
