- Origin: I needed a super easy but fun dinner to serve my kiddos before sending them out for a night of trick-or-treating and candy eating. They absolutely LOVE Mummy Hot Dogs and it is now a yearly tradition!

- Hot Dogs – option to use any variety of hot dogs, all-natural, turkey dogs, etc.
- Crescent Roll Dough – I used Annie’s Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough, but feel free to use any brand or swap it out for refrigerated pizza dough or puff pastry.
- Candy Eyes – a fun and easy way to make these hot dog mummies super festive!
- Dipping Sauce – just use your favorite ketchup, mustard, homemade bbq sauce, or any others.
How To Make Mummy Hot Dogs

Step 1 – Remove the crescent roll dough from the packaging and unroll.

Step 2 – Pinch the seams of the roll together.

Step 3 – Cut the dough into thin strips.

Step 4 – Wrap each hot dog with 2-3 strips of dough.

Step 5 – Space them out on a sheet pan.

Step 6 – Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Air Fryer Mummy Hot Dogs

These easy mummy hot dogs can also be made in the air fryer. Simply spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray or line with parchment paper and space out the wrapped hot dogs inside. Cook at 400 degrees F for 3-4 minutes per side, flipping halfway through.

Mummy Hot Dog FAQs
Yes, option to assemble them a couple hours ahead of time or even the night before but that crescent dough does tend to get a little weird if you let them sit in the fridge for too long.
After they have been cooked, you can keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for the next 3-4 days. Simply reheat in the microwave.
Yes! Feel free to use your favorite kind of pre-cooked hot dog here – they will all work!

Description
Festive, easy, and delicious Hot Dog Mummies that the whole family will love at your next Halloween celebration!
Ingredients
- 1 package hot dogs
- 1 package store-bought crescent rolls
- optional: candy eyes
- serving suggestion: dipping sauces of your choice (ketchup, mustard, etc.)
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with a non-stick cooking spray.
- Prep the Dough: Open and unroll the crescent dough. Find the seams and pinch together to create a flat piece of dough. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into ¼ inch strips.
- Wrap the Hot Dogs: Wrap 2-3 strips around each hot dog like a mummy. Continue until all the dough is used or you run out of hot dogs.
- Bake: Place wrapped hot dogs on a prepared baking sheet (make sure they aren’t touching) and bake on middle rack for 10-12 minutes. Remove and let cool slightly.
- Optional Eyes: Move to a plate and place two candy eyes on each (if you want).
- Serve: Enjoy with the dipping sauce of your choice!
Notes
- Crescent Rolls: use whatever works best for you and if you want to make your own crescent roll dough, that is great! We love Annie’s Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough to make this recipe super easy and stress-free.
- Candy Eyes: find these at most grocery stores in the baking aisle – we grabbed our at Target.
- Air Fryer Mummy Hot Dogs: Place a piece of parchment paper in the air fryer basket and then set the wrapped hot dogs on top of that. Cook at 400 degrees F for 3-4 minutes per side, flipping halfway through.
