Description
Our quick and easy Sautéed Cabbage recipe is the perfect side dish to enjoy with any main dish! Made in under 15 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1/2 head of green cabbage, chopped into large pieces with core removed
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (more, if desired)
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large cast iron skillet to a medium-high heat and melt butter. Add cabbage and season with salt and pepper.
- Move around the hot pan and sauté for 3-5 minutes or until it cooked to your liking (I found that 3-5 minutes resulted in a nice soft, but firm texture – if you want your cabbage softer, just keep cooking and checking the consistency every 3-4 minutes). Cook less time for more crispness and longer for more softness.
- Serve immediately!

- Extra Flavor: option to add some fresh garlic cloves, garlic powder, lemon juice, or a few red pepper flakes to the add even more flavor.
- Storage: leftover sautéed cabbage can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for 4-5 days.
