How To Make Strawberry Simple Syrup
The first steps in these step-by-step instructions are to gather up the four basic ingredients.

Toss them all in a saucepan, give it a mix, and bring to a boil. Then drop the heat to a simmer for 20 minutes and stir occasionally. Pour the bright red mixture through a strainer to take out the chunks of strawberry and basil.

Let it fully cool and then use it or store for later.
Storage & Freezer
Keep it cool in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 weeks or freeze for up to 6 months. Pro tip – if you plan to freeze it, try pouring small portions into ice cube trays. That way you can thaw what you need in small amounts.
