Key Ingredients & Substitutions
Be sure to see the recipe card below for a full listing of ingredients, instructions, and estimated nutritional information.

- dill pickles: Try your hand at making our refrigerator dill pickles. They’re so easy!
- sour cream: Use dairy-free sour cream to make this dressing dairy-free.
- mayonnaise: Try your hand at making our homemade mayonnaise for the best flavor.
- fresh dill: Swap with dried dill. One tablespoon of fresh herbs equals 1 teaspoon of dried herbs.
- dill pickle juice: This provides acidity and salt balance. It also replaces vinegar which you would normally find in traditional ranch dressing.
How To Make Dill Pickle Ranch Dressing

Step 1 – Place all ingredients into a small food processor.

Step 2 – Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
Texture Tips
If you’re serving this as a dip and want the texture a bit thicker, add a bit more mayo. If you want it a bit thinner, add a bit more pickle juice and/or water one teaspoon at a time depending on your flavor preferences.

Step 3 – Serve this easy dill pickle ranch dressing on our dill pickle chicken salad with delicious grilled pickles.
Best Ways To Serve Dill Pickle Ranch Dressing
Serve dill ranch dressing on salads, alongside your favorite protein, or as a dipping sauce for veggies. My family likes it best with carrots and cucumbers and I recently served it on a veggie platter in place of our homemade veggie dip and it was a hit! Other recipes that this dressing would work with are our buffalo chicken wraps, grilled chicken thighs, and grilled potato wedges.
