Dragonfruit Smoothie
Around here we love a good fruit smoothie and this is a good one to throw in the mix that is sure to wake-up your taste buds. It is naturally sweet and is made with only 5 real ingredients. We used frozen dragonfruit so that you can have it on hand in the freezer anytime you get that smoothie craving coming on!

What You Will Need
- Frozen dragonfruit & a frozen banana – the deliciously sweet fruit that brings it all together.
- Unsweetened almond milk (or another dairy-free milk) – thins out the smoothie so you can drink it!
- Vanilla extract – a dash of vanilla flavor
- (optional) Plain dairy-free yogurt – gives it that full, creamy texture that we all love about smoothies.
Add-Ins
Smoothies are a great way to easily add-in a few ingredients that pack some great health benefits. Here are a few that I love:
- Collagen – a protein responsible for healthy joints and skin elasticity, or stretchiness. Also great for healthy nails and hair!
- Protein powder – easily add a boost of protein to your smoothie with a scoop of protein powder.
- Chia seeds – a high quality protein that is packed with antioxidants and fiber!
- Ground flax – high in Omega-3 fats and also rich in dietary fiber!
- Hemp seeds – also great for some added protein and fiber.
Prep Ahead

Dragonfruit Smoothie – an easy, delicious recipe for dragonfruit smoothies! Naturally sweetened and made with simple, real ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen dragonfruit
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 –1 1/2 cups unsweetened almondmilk
- (optional) 1/2 cup plain vanilla dairy-free yogurt
Instructions
- Add ingredients to a high-speed blender.
- Blend on HIGH, stopping to scrape down the sides as necessary, until smooth.
- Add additional splashes of unsweetened almondmilk to thin out, if necessary.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Serving: makes one large smoothie or it can easily be split into two smaller smoothies.
- Collagen: feel free to add in a scoop of your favorite collagen or protein powder.
- Honey: if you want it a touch sweeter feel free to add a teaspoon or so of honey.
- Dragonfruit: I bought pre-frozen dragonfruit from Target.
