What You Will Need
Be sure to see the recipe card below for a full listing of ingredients, instructions, and estimated nutritional information.

- brandy or bourbon – we used brandy in these photos, but feel free to grab your favorite bourbon from the local liquor store.
- frozen fruit – highly recommend the combination of frozen cherries and frozen oranges here! For best results, peel and freeze the orange slices the day before serving.
- bitters – a couple dashes of your favorite bitters are an essential ingredient when making an old fashioned.
- simple syrup – option to make homemade simple syrup or buy a store-bought version.

- 1 cup frozen cherries
- 2 oz simple syrup
- 2 dashes of bitters
- garnish: cocktail cherries of choice + orange peel
Instructions
- Prep: Be sure to peel and freeze the orange slices beforehand.
- Blend: Add 1 cup frozen orange slices, 2 ½ oz brandy or bourbon, 1 cup frozen cherries, 2 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes of bitters to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth.
- Consistency: To thin, add a splash or two of water and blend again. To thicken, add an ice cube or two and blend again.

Notes
- Frozen Oranges: forgot to freeze some oranges – no worries, add in fresh orange slices and then add a handful of ice cubes! Flavor might be quite as strong, but it will still be refreshing and delicious!
- Brandy vs. Bourbon: totally personal preference – I used brandy here and loved it, but use what you want!
