What You Will Need
- tajin – a delicious coating on the rim to add some lime and salt!
- lime wedge – perfect to rub on the top of the glass to get the tajin to stick.
- ice – always a good idea when mixing up any cocktail recipe.
- clamato juice – a tomato based juice that is light and refreshing.
- hot sauce or tabasco sauce – add a little bit for that extra kick of heat, adjust to your personal preference.
- worcestershire & soy sauce – love the added umami flavor that these bring to this refreshing drink.
- fresh lime juice – some acidity always helps to amplify the other flavors.
- pickle juice – highly recommend dill pickle juice, but any variety of pickle works here!
- beer – we used Corona because a traditional michelada beer is usually a Mexican beer.
How To Make A Michelada
The first steps to making this easy recipe are to gather all of the ingredients.
Now spread the tajin seasoning in a thin layer on a plate. Rub the top of your favorite cocktail glass or frosty mug with a lime wedge and then turn that rim in the tajin.
Add the clamato juice, hot sauce, worcestershire, soy sauce, lime juice, and pickle juice to a cocktail shaker. Secure the lid on top, shake, and pour over ice.
Top with your beer of choice and enjoy on a hot day!
