Oatmeal Superfood Breakfast Bowl – the perfect way to start your day is with this nutrient, superfood-packed bowl of warm and healthy goodness.
This bowl is amazing, you guys. All I wanted to do was jazz up my boring bowl of oatmeal. It escalated. Into something freakin amazing. Yes, that is chocolate you see there (where is the rule that says you can’t put chocolate on your oatmeal). Plus, when you have all that other perfectly healthy goodness, what’s wrong with sprinkling a little chocolate-o-lat on top. In fact, I am going to argue that “healthy” includes a little indulgence. It doesn’t have to always be spinach and kale. ….. Okay, that got a little off-topic. My point is, this bowl is my perfect little bowl of healthy goodness, chocolate included, and I am pumped to share it with you guys!
I don’t know about you, but breakfast just isn’t usually my jam. I’m not sure what it is, but my body doesn’t feel like eating until about 10:00am. Which is way too late in the day and I don’t think it is very good for your body (i.e. digestive system, stomach lining, etc.). So, coming up with weekday breakfasts that actually look and taste good enough to motivate me to want to make them is a challenge.
I rose to the challenge with this one.
It was so good. And so healthy.
I mean we have everything here. Chia seeds, flax meal, banana, almond butter (with protein powder) and goji berries. Oh – and oatmeal. And seriously, look at that chocolate next to the nut butter. It is impossible for your mouth not to water when looking at that.
So, I hope this inspires you to make your own Oatmeal Superfood Breakfast Bowl, or put your own spin on it, and I hope you feel healthy and energized so you can kick the sh*t out of your day!
I am not kidding, I think I took about 300 pictures of this one little bowl… I was obsessed with these pictures.
I hope you guys had a great week and that you have an awesome weekend planned, doing something you love with people that lift you up. Cheesy …. but so true.
I will be organizing and putting on a 3 year-old’s birthday party….. sooooo …. wish me luck. 🙂 I am going to need one of these power bowls to get me through the day…..
