Well, now that we are a bit older, we decided that is time to level up from the canned tomato soup to a homemade tomato soup that is still simple to make! Enter, this amazingly creamy tomato bisque. Seriously, it’s the best tomato soup recipe! Just follow our easy step by step guide and your whole family will definitely welcome this delicious upgrade.

What You Will Need
- tomato paste & canned diced tomatoes – a blend of types of tomatoes that make the perfect soup base!
- water – needed to thin the soup out a bit, feel free to make adjustments per your personal preference. Vegetable broth would work too!
- coconut sugar – just a bit for a touch of sweetness to this creamy tomato soup.
- black pepper & kosher salt – a simple seasoning combo that never fails in any great recipe!
- heavy whipping cream or full fat coconut milk – if you want it to be dairy-free, make sure you use coconut milk.
- fresh basil – using fresh herbs really bring all the best flavor, but you could use some dried basil (just adjust the amount).

Storage & Freezer
Let the soup cool completely and place it in an airtight container. Leftover soup will be good in the fridge for up to 5 days. You could also freeze this soup for up to 4 months. To thaw, just place it in the fridge overnight and then reheat.

- 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes (don’t drain)
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor.
