Be sure to see the recipe card below for a full listing of ingredients, instructions, and estimated nutritional information.

- sour cream – option to use our dairy-free sour cream, a regular store-bought version, or sub with some plain Greek yogurt.
- cream cheese – just pick-up your favorite variety from the local grocery store! Leave out at room temperature to make sure it is nice and soft.
- taco seasoning – we always have some of our own homemade taco seasoning in the pantry or grab a packet of taco seasoning from the store.
- shredded cheese – Colby Jack cheese is shown in the photos, but any variety of cheese will work here, cheddar cheese, Mexican cheese, monterey jack, dairy-free cheese, etc.
- fresh tomatoes, black olives, & chopped green onions – highly recommend these toppings for your creamy taco dip, but feel free to add more/less or sub with other topping options.
How To Make Taco Dip

Step 1: Place the sour cream, softened cream cheese, and taco seasoning in a large bowl. Mix until fully combined. Spread cream cheese mixture in an even layer on the bottom of a serving dish. We used a shallow baking dish.
Pro Tip
To get a really smooth texture, feel free to use an electric hand mixer or stand mixer to fully combine the base of this dip.

Step 2: Now cover the top of the dip with your desired fresh toppings. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips or pita chips.

Step 3: Serve at your next party!
